Aqua yoga is my focus because it is kind to people's joints and is so accessible. It's an easy way to start a yoga practice, it allows people who've lost a land practice to continue, and challenges people with an active land practice to explore their bodies in new ways.
My practice has evolved greatly over the last 30 years. As a young yogi, I loved intensity and spent hours in Bikram studios in New York City. The pursuit of intense sensation above all else leads to injury, and I've had mild injuries (not all caused by yoga) that have loosened my definition of what constitutes a personal practice. Academically, I've studied Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Restorative, Iyengar, as well as Transcendental Meditation and Zen Meditation.

I am currently in Varkala, a beautiful small village on a cliff overlooking the ocean in the state of Kerala, India. There is an amazing yoga scene here, even during the slower, wet monsoon season. And I have these amazing teachers giving me undivided attention. It's a gift.
I am an Asian American 47 year old, single mother of three teenagers who owns a personal training studio. I grew up in Orange County, Southern California and live in San Diego, CA now. I practice yoga wherever there is ground below me.
I teach a wide variety of formats from Baptiste and I fell in love with combining different formats. I got trained in sculpt and that was transformational. Restorative yoga has also been a gift that came into my life as a teacher.

Yogathology’s mission is to yield guidance as it relates to the alignment of one’s mind, body and spirit by way of Yoga. I combine breath and mindful movement to inspire people of all ages, shapes, sizes and backgrounds.
