In order to fight the coronavirus, it is essential to optimize your health by preventing any vitamin deficiencies. Vitamins and minerals are best used by the body when consumed in the form of whole foods. Therefore, try to get everything you need from your foods first. Like I mentioned previously, when strictly following a plant based diet you may be at risk for protein, B-vitamin, and iron deficiencies. Make sure to emphasize foods containing protein and these vitamins and minerals in your diet to give your body exactly what it needs to improve its defenses.

Benefits of Chlorophyll for a Healthy Immune System by Dr.Leann Poston, MD

Benefits of Chlorophyll for a Healthy Immune System by Dr.Leann Poston, MD

The phytochemicals found in plants, such as chlorophyll, act as antioxidants. These antioxidants help to curb the damage done by free radicals. Our bodies cannot produce phytochemicals. They must be ingested by eating fruits and vegetables.1

Chlorophyll has been found to help decrease inflammation and in wound healing in some studies.  Many studies have also been done on the benefits of chlorophyll in stimulating the immune system, purifying the blood, detoxifying the liver and decreasing odors such as halitosis or bad breath.2

The benefits of liquid chlorophyll are endless.  I’m really not a supplement junkie, but chlorophyll is the one I recommend the most.  Liquid chlorophyll helps hydrate the gut in a way that water doesn’t. It acts like intestinal soap and literally scrubs away waste products.  When I give people colonics who do not release waste I ask them to use liquid chlorophyll. They release up to five times the amount of waste. Not to mention they report having better bowel movements.  Liquid chlorophyll is also a blood builder, helps make you stronger, and tones muscles. I recommend it to my clients to help them go to the bathroom instead of using stimulant laxatives.
Liquid chlorophyll is honestly my favorite supplement.

The body detoxes itself without any external help, but we can certainly support this function. Drinking enough water is one of the best things we can do. It helps prevent fluid retention. It also helps the kidneys in eliminating metabolic wastes more efficiently. This results in more urine output, therefore, less swelling and bloating. Drinking enough water also helps prevent constipation, therefore supporting waste removal from the digestive process.

Is Chlorophyll Water The Latest Bullsh*t Wellness Craze? [Betches]

Is Chlorophyll Water The Latest Bullsh*t Wellness Craze? [Betches]

Nutrition and science and Kourtney K. aside, I wanted to try out Chlorophyll Water in the first place simply in hopes of supporting a sustainable, earth-friendly brand. The water bottles are biodegradable and every case sold plants a tree—which might make you feel better about the $3.33 price tag for a bottle (and $39.99 for a case of 12).

I was definitely weirded out when I realized that the green color was coming not from the water bottle, but from the actual water itself. However, my initial weirded-outness was replaced by a pleasant surprise at the fresh/crisp taste of the water, which I later learned can be attributed to the purification process it goes through. I was honestly pumped to have found a thirst-quenching drink that doesn’t have any hidden sugars and whatever other chemicals MUST be in those weird flavored CVS drinks I’m always buying when I’m hungover. I found myself drinking about two bottles a day for one week.

Chlorophyll is an immunity booster and aids in detox. That is one of the reasons why a green smoothie is such a great idea. But if making a green smoothie is challenging, liquid chlorophyll is a simple short cut to obtain the benefits.

Tulsi (holy basil) is well known to boost immunity. Garlic, ginger, mushrooms, turmeric, moringa, broccoli sprouts are some of the beneficial herbs. And plant foods in general contain beneficial phytonutrients. These can all be added to the foods we cook on a regular basis.
